Invalidation is a kindness
Writing where a trend idea dies keeps you honest and protects you from endless narrative edits.
A trend call without an exit from the idea is a story, not analysis. Invalidation is the level or event that forces you to admit the map was wrong.
In mentorship reviews we ask for that level first. If it is missing, we pause the rest of the discussion. Participants sometimes feel this is harsh. Later they call it relief — the chart stops asking for endless justification.
